We were approached by the owners of an existing three family home, who were interested in pursing a new ground up ADU project in their rear yard.

The site is oriented to allow good southern exposure, so we pursued this project as a passive house low energy building. We were able to accommodate a four bedroom, three bathroom dwelling, while preserving a small rear yard for the existing building and creating a new rooftop outdoor space for the ADU, while preserving privacy between the structures.
