Two Upper East Side apartments were combined for a growing family to spread out, take advantage of formerly small spaces, and enhance views through their 60's era apartment building.

The reorganized plan doubles the existing kitchen footprint while creating the opportunity to open a portion of the wall directly adjacent to an expansive new dining space. The living area takes advantage of a structural column to divide the space between the family room and child's play area with cabinets that house the television and AV equipment. All spaces have visual connections to each other to promote family interaction while maintaining a sense of privacy.
